I am completely guilty of Instagram stalking. If you say you have never Instagram stalked any one or any couple than you are most likely lying. I am guilty of going to certain girls profiles on Instagram and hard core stalking their pictures. I wish I was them because they seem to have this perfect like, perfect boyfriend, perfect friends, perfect everything. Instead of being grateful for what I have I envy for what other girls have. I wish I was prettier like them. I wish I was smart like them. I wish I was a complete new person and was them. I see the pictures they post with their very best friends over the weekend as I am at home on a Friday night eating a bunch of junk food and watching Netflix. I envy their friendships they have with one another and long for wonderful friends like that. Yeah I had friends but I didn’t have that group of friends who wanted to hang out every weekend. I asked God why He didn’t give me those things, and I soon learned that it hurts God to know that I wish to look like other people and that I wish to be like other people. God created me in His own image. The Bible tells us, “so God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them,” Genesis 1:27. We were created by an Almighty God in His image. He created us specially and we are his masterpiece. He thinks we perfect just the way we are just like he says in Song of Solomon 4:7, “you are altogether beautiful my darling their is no flaw in you.” How beautiful is that He thinks we are flawless? I feel absolutely beautiful reading that God thinks I’m beautiful. I feel guilty for hurting God because I want what others have but in reality God has already given me all that I need in life. He has provided be with wonderful friends, family, and life. It is hard to feel beautiful, but if you dig into the Word of God and read what God has to say about you than it will instantly make you feel absolute beautiful. It’s important to remind yourself of what God has to say about yourself. He tells us about what He thinks about us by saying, “She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.” He thinks we are more precious than rubies? Wow that gives me goosebumps I love it! Reminding myself of what God thinks of me makes me feel more confident in myself. I stop long for what people have and their looks. I become even more blessed with the things that I have in my life and I cannot continue to thank God enough for this wonderful life that I have. Continue to remind yourself of these wonderful verses and what God tells us. He thinks we are the most beautiful people ever. We are created in Him and He thinks we are just to die for.
